Northside's story

Northside Community Church began when three young guys (Jon Hathaway, James Weipert and Adrian Dixon) believed that God was calling them to plant a church in Knightdale. The mission was that this church would be a place where people could come as they are and leave different.

Throughout our first 11 years, we met in five different locations around Knightdale. But whether it was in storefront shops or community centers, the original mission never changed. We're thankful to have been able to "put down roots" on First Avenue in downtown Knightdale and grow with the community.  Since our very first service on February 17, 2002, we've grown to over 400 individuals who call Northside home - and we've been able to serve our community in very meaningful ways. From our transitional housing program, to using our facilities as a gathering space for community groups and organizations, to the Compassion Box located on our campus, we are for our community.

No matter your background, current circumstances, or if you're native or new to the area, we would love for you to check us out and become part of the story that God is writing at Northside Community Church.

Plan a Visit

"If you are looking for a place that you can just be yourself in and don't want
to have to 'fake it' to feel welcome, this is your place."
