The Cost of Discipleship: Follow

Sunday, May 3rd

The truth is, life will always present us with urgent and important demands. Following Jesus requires us to continually discern between what is temporary and what is eternal and to choose which one should be the priority. As we were reminded at the start of this series, Jesus doesn’t ask for part of our affection; He calls for our highest love and ultimate allegiance.

We hope you’ll join us this Sunday at 9:00 or 10:45 am as we unpack how we follow Christ.

Easter | April 5 - May 21

Meaning | The word "Easter" comes from Old English, meaning the "East." The sun, which rises in the East, bringing light, warmth and hope, is a symbol for the Christian of the rising Christ, who is the true light of the world.

Ministry Spotlight

Jesus Cares About Children. So Do We. We are child advocates, dedicated to releasing children from poverty in Jesus' name. Through sponsorships and donations, we empower local churches to love, care for and protect children in poverty so they're free to learn, grow, play and dream. But we don't just meet a child's physical, mental and emotional needs. We also care for them spiritually by introducing them to the gospel. While children living in poverty face many challenges, eternal hope is found in Jesus. And it's Compassion's mission to share him with those in need.

WHAT'S HAPPENING THIS MONTH

Resurrection. Easter is the end of sins hold on mankind. Through the sacrifice at the cross, the death burial and resurrection, those that depend on Jesus have the promise of resurrection.

This May, we will go line by line in the Gospels, exploring the necessity, the prophecy, and the hope that is contained in the Easter story.
